We are proud to announce this year\u2019s 13th<\/sup> edition of \u2018Regard Bleu\u2019, a festival for ethnographic student film and media organized by students of the Ethnographic Museum of the University of Z\u00fcrich. ‘Regard Bleu’ is dedicated to fresh and aspiring audio-visual projects by students from Universities as well as from Art and Film Schools and welcomes a broad variety of films and media. Projects will be accepted in any language, however, we kindly ask contributors to provide subtitles in English.<\/p>\n

Regard Bleu is an ethnographic film festival that is held biennially (even) at the Ethnographic Museum of the University of Zurich. Since its first edition in 2001, Regard Bleu is exclusively dedicated to students\u2019 productions. Over the years, the festival has grown into an interdisciplinary platform for ethnographic and socially relevant film from a broad range of fields and institutions. As such the festival is not only screening films but aims at furthering a critical engagement with and fruitful discussions about current trends in anthropological filmmaking and beyond. Not limited to any specific academic discourse or thematic restriction Regard Bleu is an open space for projects from a wide range of fields that embrace contemporary culture and society through audio-visual media productions.<\/p>\n

Since 2016 Regard Bleu is conceptualized and organized by students of the ISEK (Department of Social Anthropology and Cultural Studies) over the course of a seminar. The next edition of the Regard Bleu will take place in autumn 2018 and will be organized in collaboration with the audio-visual commission of the Swiss Ethnological Society and the Symposium Virtual realities: Re-thinking \u2018experience\u2019 in the age of new immersive media.<\/em><\/p>\n

We invite student producers of film and other audio-visual media from all over the world to submit their projects using the submission form (PDF, 32 KB)<\/a> or by filling in the online submission form (https:\/\/goo.gl\/forms\/VudR1UuiFCVWlj0x2<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Films can be submitted on DVD or BluRay via post or electronically using the online submission form.<\/p>\n

Please read the submission form and the Info sheet Infosheet (PDF, 38 KB)<\/a> carefully and hand in all the required information and documents.<\/p>\n
