\"logoSocial Network Environments Conference (SoNetE 2013), May 27-31, Bucharest, Romania, aims at assessing the current state of advanced social applied research, on topics as social network analysis, exchange networks, intra and inter-organizational social networks. Furthermore, we lay a special stress on how academic communities manage to deliver scientific knowledge as to meet the needs of non-academic environments (i.e. public sector, business and non-profit organizations). Put it differently, we want to discuss if there is a gap between academic communities and non-academic environments, in terms of scientific agendas. Ways of building bridges between the two parts are sought, if necessary.<\/p>\n

SoNetE 2013 provides researchers with the possibility of presenting their research work (e.g. early stage research presentations, papers close to completion etc.) during three workshop sessions. The participants to the workshop sessions are offered the opportunity to publish their research work in a special issue of International Review of Social Research journal.<\/p>\n

We invite researchers to submit original papers on their early stage, ongoing or completed studies that are focused on either inter or intra-organizational topics, until March 30, 2013<\/strong> (for the abstracts) and until May 20, 2013 (for the papers).<\/p>\n
