Research expertise includes, but is not limited to Dr. Tim Groves: Hollywood Cinema; Film Authorship; Horror and Serial Killer Films, Associate Professor Thierry Jutel: Contemporary Cinema; Digital Cinema Aesthetics and Production; Cinema and Landscape; Cinema as Cultural Object, Dr. Alfio Leotta: Film-Tourism; New Zealand Cinema; Global Hollywood; Italian Cinema, Dr. Miriam Ross: 3D Cinema; Latin American Cinema; Cinema Industry; New Digital Technologies, Professor Kirsten Thompson: Animation; Colour; New Zealand, Pacific and Classical Hollywood Cinema, Dr. Paul Wolffram: Documentary; Ethnographic Film; Production; 3D Cinema.<\/p>\n

Located in the heart of Wellington, the Film Programme offers unique opportunities to make use of resources at The New Zealand Film Archive, National Archives New Zealand, Te Papa National Museum, The Alexander Turnbull Library and various film institutions in the city.<\/p>\n

Candidates with a strong academic background can apply for Victoria Doctoral Scholarships. These scholarships are open to New Zealand and international students.
